Kitty in the Box chapter 1 . 6/9 Wow. what an amazing story of realization of never taking each other for granted. |
Dino-Rogue chapter 1 . 7/16/2014 Oh, no need, no need! From star to dust... from diamonds to love! Vegeta and Bulma, stars, living and dying, shame and sacrifice, loneliness and passion... I love this romance, I love it. And I shall, till those stars die! :) Hmm, Modular story? I've yet to search that, but whatever it is and however it's done, I love it! Great job, wonderful fic yet again! |
Anonymonomanamo chapter 1 . 11/6/2013 Oooh beautiful. I think I got the sequencing. If I'm completely honest I did kinda flick back and forth just a tiny bit - but I don't blame that you at all, that's just a sleep-deprived sick derp-face for ya. But I do take comfort in knowing some real writers/readers have reviewed. Phew! Off the hook! I can't really comment on like, specific writing techniques and stuff cos that's not my thing.. I'll leave that to the others (I haven't read their reviews but I'm assuming they say deep stuff), but let me comment on my favourite parts! :D - "silly purple dress-negligee-thing" hahaha. That's honestly probably what Veggie would make of it hahaha :D so in character there! - Vegeta standing stoically as always but with his guard down, closest to 'at peace' as you can get possibly for this time period. Not a sight we're graced with often... almost like catching him with his pants down hah. But I like that Trunks is creepin on him and catching him and he's all Woooah that be my daddy...O.O his comment of "He's impressive..." that he said to Goku rang through my mind while I read that third snippet. And I meant about his sorta regal-ness (not carrying on with the pants-down analogy T.T but I'm sure that's impressive too) - The "Why won't you look at me?" at the end of 4th snippet had this kinda earth-stopping feel... if I had a big enough vocabulary I'd be able to describe it better... like punchy... punctuated... O.O Im soooo tired ... anyway, I liked it. It was effective. It was like... applebananaorangeypearTOMATO. Like, it wasn't out of place, but like the feeling of you're chatting food with your friend and suddenly friend says "Why didn't you text me back yesterday?" And you're all O.O (this is the shittest review in the history of reviews Im really sorry) - Trunks' observation of his parents tender interaction was beautiful. Even though it was subtle and not at all overtly mushy, Trunks knows enough about his father to know that what he did (or didn't do?) was as affectionate as you're gonna get. And now this is getting too long and ridiculously shit. The size of the review isn't proportionately socially acceptable to the words you wrote so I'm really sorry. Overall I liked that with your story, there was nothing over the top. The magic was in the subtlety of it all... not necessarily the dialogue, but sometimes the glances exchanged, a lingering hand on arm etc. Coolness. And now I disappear before I get banished. |
Trunksmybaby chapter 1 . 10/18/2013 I love it |
nancy103 chapter 1 . 10/9/2013 Great one shot! And there was no problem at all following along. Your descriptive writing style works nicely with this theme and the modular story concept. And you really got Vegeta and Bulma's characterization down perfectly. And the reader does get an understanding of why Vegeta stayed after Cell. Lovely story! |
Mcube chapter 1 . 10/8/2013 Fantastic little one-shot. I am all about exploring different writing styles in addition to relying on just the words to tell a story. The style conveys as much of the idea as the words you are writing, and with the picture you chose there is so much emotion to dig into. Awesome how you added Trunks in there, too. It’s kinda like you’ve resolved the character of both Vegetas, if that makes sense. I see what you mean about the importance of a good ending to a story, too. Great job ! ;-} -cube |
Piccolo is green chapter 1 . 10/8/2013 Holy hell, this is good! I love the modular story technique, it worked perfectly in this context. Your descriptions and characterizations are absolutely stunning. This is a beautiful piece of work, and I'm amazed that you wrote this in such a short amount of time because it's so wonderful. I particularly liked the idea of Trunks watching his parents interact; his protectiveness of his mother is endearing, and his understanding of his father is wonderful to see. the interaction between Bulma and Vegeta is equally as perfect. Thank you for writing such a wonderful story! |
saigwgr chapter 1 . 10/8/2013 Nice story,...very intense, and perfectly in character...vegeta is obviously fighting his pride to show his feelings to bulma, just like he does in the android/cell saga, but he will come around very soon. |
Mikky chapter 1 . 10/8/2013 Modular stories... That's so like my writing style! I loved it. |
Blue Cat chapter 1 . 10/8/2013 Pretty good. I didn't have much trouble following what was going on, although I'm not sure what the last segment was supposed to contribute to it. It wasn't particularly Cell-relevant, so either some lines in the previous segments, or some more elaboration it the last bit itself would have tied it more to the rest of the story, I think. Also, I am a little confused. Is there, or is there not a moon? You mentioned that there isn't, but later you have moonlight shining on Bulma. That's just a small mishap, though. Overall I quite liked it. :) |
LadyLuckRogue chapter 1 . 10/8/2013 Ok...this is stunning. I knew exactly what picture you were referring to when I started reading, something about the tone of the story gave the clue and then when I read the description of Bulma, I knew. Great job. The visual details of this story are amazing and the dialog between Bulma and Vegeta was fantastic. I also loved that you chose to do it as a modular story...I don't come across that very often. Once again great job! |
