Thank you for writing this. The fact that neither Jiraiya nor Kakashi made an effort to contact Naruto when he was young has always been a sore spot for me. But, Hiruzen forbidding them to makes sense. After all, Naruto wasn't allowed to find out who his parents were, so why not forbid contact with anyone who could tell him who they were? Great job!

Good job portraying the Sandaime's guilt.

It would have been better if he gave some explanations for what he did like for example not telling him about his parents because it could make Naruto think (rightfully) that the village owes him a lot and would make him desist to get the villagers acknowledgment because he would think (rightfully again) that the villagers are the ones who have to gain his acknowledgement, not the the other way.
