| Katla1 chapter 55 . 7/28/2018 I envy writers who can write a story this long. I really liked the idea for this story, hence why I picked it up. The action scenes were the best parts in my opinion, and I only wish there were more of them. :) My only problem with this story was the constant whump, which eventually turned me because I unfortunately felt like Dick was overreacting. The hose didn't terrify me, I can't imagine anyone vomiting as many times as he did... I feel like someone in that situation would become numb pretty fast or even find something to enjoy just so they could stand living. Basically I felt this was an attempt to milk sympathy from the readers. I hope that doesn't sound too harsh. I wasn't even sure if I should voice my thoughts because this story is complete already. Also I'm trying not to make this review too long. This is a good story. There are many that are way worse than this. It's just that there are stories that are better (including some you've written, which I've favourite.) Ack! I sound so harsh! :) Good day. I hope my review is helpful. |
| Katla1 chapter 20 . 7/27/2018 Thank you for writing my favourite kind of villain: The guy who is a definitely a bad guy, breaking the law and all that, but you wonder if he cares and you kinda want to like him but he's still the bad guy. |

There's a part in Oliver Twist where Oliver is kidnapped but the guy who was taking care of him thinks he ran off with his money like a common street rat. Although that might be good story telling, I prefer it when the guardian figure knows the kid didn't vanish on purpose. |
| Katla1 chapter 15 . 7/27/2018 I feel so nervous right now... my gut is in knots! I thought Dock surrendered awful fast but then, what could he possibly do? There's no way out. Slade has his finger on the trigger so to speak. Man, Bruce is gonna freak when he finds out. Loved this chapter, and even though I don't comment on every single one, I'm enjoying this entire story so far. |
