I really enjoyed this story and how you portrayed Seras as more than fan-service, showing that yes, she actually had training prior to Hellsing and that training didn't suddenly become useless. :) I liked how you wrote the character interaction and dialogue, that blend of action and humor that's so similar to that in the manga/anime. I give it two thumbs up! I wish you the very best of luck on your writing. |

She's always seemed so useless and cringing to me, and somewhat boring, though I don't hate her either. That being said, I actually really, really liked your depiction of her in this fic. It works! She's so competent in this version, I would almost prefer this to the original Ultimate series! Very well done, despite the swift pace of events. This was very enjoyable and has given me a new way to view Seras :) |

| Honest Reviewer chapter 1 . 7/19/2015 I like this as a concept and I agree Seras wearing a miniskirt is impractical and pure fanservice, that she is not a ditz and that she has hidden depths. That aside I do feel Seras is almost TOO competent here. When questioned by Alucard she reels off a list of responses like they're rehearsed. She doesn't struggle when it comes to fighting. Biggest of all she's too at ease with her vampire powers (i.e. the idea of learning more). That may be the point of this fic but to me you've taken away a huge part of who Seras is and replaced her with an OC who is also named Seras. Seras clings to her humanity not because she is weak, but because she is strong. |
