I would just like to say that I have read this story, and the accompanying prequels, at least 3 times each. I'm an avid fan of the Outsiders, and Sodapop is my favourite. This story captures a broken version of him so well. The Vietnam aspect is so well done as well. I'm always saddened to read how they were treated by others and also the toll the war took on them. The way you explore his pain, both physical and mental is extraordinary. I admire your writing skills so much. I'm pretty much addicted to your story telling skills. This is by far my favourite bit of fan fiction that I have ever stumbled across, and I hope someday you write a book. Because if it is anything like this, I would definitely read it.

This is a great ending! I really like that we got to see what happened in the future, and even if I feel sorry for Soda that he never married and got children, I think it fits that he couldn't. He still has his family, though, and that's what he needs.
The scene in the kitchen with Pony was lovely, how Pony was so afraid of the answer, and then they both realized it would be okay, even if not as it used to be.
And the mention of the photos- how he was missing in one but grinning wide in the next - I really loved that.
