| Guest chapter 1 . 1/19/2019 this is so not fluff they make hiccup seem like a desperate 10 yr old kid that needs to get laid, and astrid says yes with so little feeling I think its better to stick with clichés. Fluff my ass more like baseless humour. |

It works for the movie and it's not that big an issue but they did want a 'burning bush' scene or something that made Hiccup really question whether or not dragons were evil" WHAT? Why does he need an outside voice influencing his opinions? In what way would that make it better? How would that not cheapen his own self motivated growth and development? He came to that conclusion using his own observation and through imperical evidence. I suppose it *would* make sense that a bible study group doesn't like that notion though. I shouldn't be surprised that they'd prefer it if a character were to blindly and unquestioningly follow someone else's words without thinking for themselves. |
