It’s a little early to make one for one comparisons... but I think Molly is Wesley a bit. Maybe it’s not that cut and dry. But she’s got the “As you wish”/“What do you need?” parallel going for her. And when Sherlock realizes his love for her I think it will be overwhelming like Buttercup’s for Wesley.

Riveting story! I read this fanfic a long time ago and loved it. I’m reading it again after a long time and love it still. I think this will be my favourite go to story when I need cheering up. Thank you for such a lovely story.

Lovely

This reminds me of what fanfiction does for us. We are drawn to characters who are intriguing and full of potential and our minds fill with all kinds of possible adventure and romance and wonderful outcomes for them, and then their creators - the "Hers" of moviemaking, so to speak - mess them up and make us miserable. So we come to writers like Alydia who understand who they are and do wonderful things for them and soothe our souls. And then the "Hers" lose much of their power to hurt us.

Of course, Sherlock's people give him pretty fine stories as it is, but nobody said a few more would do any harm. This one is excellent, so I'm off to check out the rest.

I don't remember Irene very well, but she could not possibly have been as much fun as Molly. And here is Molly, engaging his detective's mind to "solve" this story! What better way to heal Sherlock than to let him enjoy himself doing what he loves most.

"What good is beauty if there's no heart there, you know?" Indeed.

Sherlock's (and Buttercup's) reactions to plot twists like that remind me of me, which is a scary thought. Molly is absolutely a genius at this! But with two chapters left and an abandoned phone call from Mycroft...

"Because some problems can't be solved. And the best we can do is let ourselves be distracted for a little while." WORD. (And that, among other things, is what excellent fanfiction is for.)

I like "Princess Bride" the movie same as everyone else but now I'll have to go over to Amazon and order the book because all the nice second hand bookstores around here are gone now and I used to work at Borders so Barnes & Noble is the last resort.

Do you think you could do a sherolly princess bride au. Or maybe you could have it where Sherlock does that mind palace trick he did for the abominable bride, and he 'lives' the story as Molly reads it and we see this fanficion from his point of view.

All of your Sherlolly fanfics are amazing! Just too bad I've read them all (except the one that isn't complete) I loved these fics so much that I'm going to rewatch Sherlock again.
