Just starting this story and I'm already loving it! Love the twist of Zelda being the main hero of the story. I also like how you had Karane come along; I always thought it was unlikely that no one wanted or tried to go down with Link (except Groose of course haha!). Excited to see what's next!

I really think you should make a sequel of this story. You can expand on the new prophecy that link was talking about and expand on demise's curse. I would definitely read it if you decide to make a sequel to this story.

Character reversals are interesting, especially in LoZ because it means that not all the heroes are heroes,that some are heroines,and not damsels in distress. (I am a girl myself so...I'm bias on this :P)
