So this must be an AU. I wasn't sure at first since it would be possible for both Mr. Undersee and Gale to end up in the military. Healthy mom was one clue, then Gale's dad able to afford a nice ring was another clue. I did like Colonel Undersee's gruff attitude, balanced by Mrs. Undersee's friendliness. The wink was a fun touch.
