There are a lot of behavioral reasons why a dog will hump something other than a literal bitch in heat, like a person's leg or an object.

Usually this is pent up sexual frusturation from not mating regulary and lack of full exersion during daily exercise.

of course these are the most common reasons.

these should NOT effect padfood because he is a HUMAN in the SHAPE of a dog. *sigh* If your going to write padfood/hermione fics, please do some research on dog behavior first.

people like me who just know about dogs from either our jobs or upbringing find this extreemly off-putting.
