phantombread chapter 18 . 11/25/2018 This story is amazing. For me, I didn't like Phantom Planet because it seemed too rushed, but with this addition you added, it's perfect. You're giving this show the proper ending, giving it a proper story, and not just saying "oh yeah this happened and then it was never talked about," like Dani was. Now, I hate to ask this and pester you, but I hope this story isn't dead. This is an absolute masterpiece and I applaud you for being able to make Phantom Planet as enjoyable as you have begun to. |
Anne Camp aka Obi-quiet chapter 18 . 8/23/2017 Wow, you're actually making me somewhat take Phantom Planet into the count. Congratulations considering the fact that absolutely and utterly despise that episode. There are maybe two things about the whole thing that I could even accept. Adding the Valerie factor in makes it a lot more plausible. Also, I really like your take on Danny's depression. It certainly makes a lot more sense than what they alluded to in the episode. And, at the very least, Valerie's Dad should understand that Vlad really scares Valerie. That she is serious, and doesn't act like this unless she means it. Even if he thinks it might help her, forcing her to go in at this point will do more harm than good, and as a loving father he should see that. At least I really, really hope he does. Looking forward to more! |

Extreme Light 9 chapter 18 . 10/8/2016 Keep it up! |
MsFrizzle chapter 17 . 5/16/2016 Wow! I feel as if I've fallen int Vlad's trap. All this time I was thinking that Vlad's scheme for having Valerie help Danny steal the satellite plans was to entrap Danny but it turn out that is was yet another way for him to tighten his grip on the Greys. In light of Danny knowing that Valerie and her Dad are in danger from Vlad it seems less likely that he would decided that he isn't needed anymore and gives up his ghost powers. Even more so if it is what Vlad wants. I agree that Damon is a deserving character and it is a pleasure to see someone do him justice. |
MsFrizzle chapter 16 . 5/16/2016 Throughout the series there is never any mention of Jazz's friends, which is a bit odd. I always passed it off as the show was Danny-centric and Jazz's friends having no particular impact on Danny's story were not mentioned. Jazz seems to be a well adjusted and not seem to have Danny's reputation as a social outcast. |
Trish chapter 17 . 5/15/2016 I just read all this, sorry for not reviewing all the chapter but my goodness your good. I love everything about this. This story is amazing and I hope you continue it . |
MsFrizzle chapter 15 . 5/14/2016 What can I say that I haven't said before? It was never explained how Vlad got a hold of the Infi-map and his use of it to move the his satellite. You also provided him with a motivation for doing so. Vlad with his plans within plans. He kept Danny and friends occupied with 'stealing' his plans that seemed to be just what he was claiming publicly. Valerie ends up being used to help Vlad get the map. Did Vlad know she would turn on him or was it just one of his contingency plans? I addition, Vlad gets some valuable information on Valerie's suit. Win-win for Vlad. The map itself is an interesting question as it takes the possessor where he needs to go which is not the same as where he wants to go. |
MsFrizzle chapter 13 . 5/10/2016 I really liked the philosophy you have constructed for the ghost zone. Especially the "this should be obvious" way Frostbite presented the concept of Death before Life. I agree with you that Hartman's world doesn't quite fit the traditional few of ghosts. I admit, I went for a different take on it myself. I don't think I've ever seen this one before. It was sort of funny that it was all new to Danny as well. |
MsFrizzle chapter 14 . 5/9/2016 Did I say that Vlad seemed scarier as a human than as a ghost? Hmm..the jury's still out on that one. Plans within plans. If I didn't say it before, you do a wonderful job with keeping the true to the characters even when put in different situations. At the beginning of the chapter, the voice that came from Damion was so quintessentially Vlad that I knew immediately that it was not Damion speaking. You show us a deeper understanding of Valerie and but she is still acts like Valerie letting her anger take the lead. There was so much in Phantom Planet that seemed rushed and didn't make sense. This feels so right as it fits in some missing pieces perfectly. |
MsFrizzle chapter 12 . 5/9/2016 I am distressed to hear that you have had some serious trouble and wish you a speedy recovery. I realize that I'm not the only one that hadn't given proper consideration to Valerie's suit. (as usual Vlad seems to be ahead things in that regard). I think you made an interesting point that Valerie's suit is ecto-energy based and would be effected by the specter deflector. This is a nice ironic twist on the idea that Phantom gave it to her to give her a sense of security. You also use this chapter to explain how Vlad was able to track down the Infi-map for Phantom Planet. |
MsFrizzle chapter 10 . 5/9/2016 Maybe because I'm older, I particularly appreciate how you handle the parents in this story. Damion is presented as no fool. He quickly picks up that something doesn't seem kosher. It often seems that my best writing experience is also when I don't seem to know is going to come out and I'm just as curious as the the next person to see what is going to come out onto the paper. |
MsFrizzle chapter 9 . 5/9/2016 I like how this story shows Vlad's machinations and his using subtle and more overt ways of controlling those around him. He seems more dangerous as a human than a ghost. I |
MsFrizzle chapter 8 . 5/8/2016 Nice cliff-hanger ending. Especially since, the action had been winding down. Seeing Harry in action really gave me more respect for this character. You really have a nice touch with a bit of humor and now showing how really powerful it is that makes it fit into the story without feeling like an inserted character. The action works well in the plot where you are alternating anxious introspection and action. |
MsFrizzle chapter 7 . 5/6/2016 How did Valerie realize that Phantom had turned off her alarm clock? I was feeling annoyed at Danny for doing so but you gave his justification for doing so. I really enjoy your dialogue; it has a 'just right' feel. Danny's biological stats seem to vary considerably from story to story. It is interesting to see the different takes different authors have. His temperature readings really should have put up some major red flags- they are far from borderline. Congrats on you becoming a curriculum coordinator. I'm impressed with all that you manage to do that and write as well. The mention of an English school peeked my curiosity so I looked at your profile and noticed your second home in Japan. One of my sons' has taken a number of Japanese courses and is planning on visiting Japan this summer. I've always had difficulty with languages other than English and Japanese seems to be particularly complex. |
