This is perhaps the best thing you've written. I've read a lot of your stories, and while they're all good, they can be a bit stand-offish at times, describing actions but not the thoughts and feelings of the characters. You did a marvelous job of getting inside of Chakotay's head here, and this was a very unique perspective to do it from. In the hands of a lesser writer this could have failed miserably, but this was devastatingly good. Bravo.

Well I just read this again. This truly us a favorite for me. Because of how you've written this, my view of this story is very intimate. I'm not just a reader... you've enraptured us. His senses have become ours. At first I had trouble with the writing style but since reading this several times, I absolutely love it. Beautiful job!

I really liked this, both versions. I especially enjoyed the style of the first couple chapters. You really captured the claustrophobia and panic of suddenly being trapped inside one's own head. Well done!

If only I had the ability to like a review posted. Lady Callistas cracked me up. And she's right. You do it well. This was beautiful. I don't think I've reviewed any of your stories though I've read and enjoyed them all. This one was written in such a different manner that I wasn't sure I liked it at first but I like the depth of Chakotay here and I think its entirely believable the state of mind he's in. It was wonderful.
