Poor Toldin!

I'm not sure if I've left a review for this story before, but I wanted to tell you how wonderful I think it is. Reading about Rûin, Erebor, and dwarven life have provided a relief from reality.

As a writer myself, I find your created characters and portrayals of known characters to be amazing. I think you've hit the nail on the head for the company of Thorin Oakenshield and I look forward to reading more (should you post it). I speak for myself (and I'm assuming others) in saying that we appreciate your continuation of the story over the years.

As always, you do such a good job of showing what a fabulously empathetic and capable Queen Ruin will make for Erebor. I have a feeling that her people will love her even more than they do Thorin. Poor Thorin will never be bored, will he-if he can catch her!

God knows how many times I've reread this, and how many more times in the future cause it. Is. That. Good. Every single view and review tacked unto this work of fiction is well deserved. I still check this page at least once a week just to see if this has been updated. I'm glad I stuck around long enough for this new chapter to wrench out my heartstrings and make me bawl like a baby. Toldin. Sweet Toldin. I hope you make more chapters, cause I'll still be reading this whether its a year, or 2 from now. Kudos!

Dear dear Toldin..I will miss him. Beautiful story

Omg...you killed me...Toldin...i am full on crying. At first I was like yay they're rescued, that fluffy scene with Thorin!, and then...BAM! Toldins news...my heart broke and I feel so horrible that he's not here anymore! My lovable teddy bear! Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy! You know you're an amazing writer when you can Actually get me and all your fans get so emotional! Poor Ruin! I always had that hope that he survived or was in a coma...but this is more realistic. Sad so sad and sombre. I cannot wait to see what happens next! Hopefully Dwalin can finally get some answers from the kidnappers and the location paper. I'm so anxious to see who is behind all of this! Damn them! I hope Ruin avenges Rollin in the future. Also, wonder what Thorin was going to say before her mom ran in...hmmmm...cant wait for next chapter!

I’m crying big fat tears for Toldin omg poor sweet baby !

Also, I love how you’ve developed the romance in this fic; it’s been very subtle, so subtle that not even Rúin has been able to spot it until Thorin literally kissed her, haha. The way events have unfolded so that she was brought into his notice, and slowly earned his regard has been so satisfying, and I hope she at least agrees to let him court her or something...I’m half-worried for how Trúin will feel when she finds out, but at the same time I feel like some part of her already knows, given the concern Thorin has shown and the allowances he’s made for Rúin so far.

I absolutely adore the way Rúin interacts with the people around her; she says that Brúin is the amiable sibling who makes friends wherever he goes, but I think her kindness and the ferocity with which she loves draws others in to her just as well, in a way that earns her respect and loyalty. Possibly my only grievance is that we haven’t seen much of Thorin’s interactions with his entourage? Obviously Rúin wouldn’t have much idea, and this story is from her POV, but I feel like it should probably be mentioned or discussed at some point. Otherwise, it kind of seems like the ladies just follow him around everywhere while he mostly ignores them/doesn’t interact with each lady individually lol. Although given his reluctance to actually find a wife, maybe this is what is actually happening?

Anyway, I’m glad you seem to be invested in this fic once again, and I’m looking forward to future updates!

Hooray! Another chapter, I hadn't dared to hope for. Once again, fantastic, exciting story, brilliant dialogue and descriptions. Loved the bits between Ruin and Thorin. You have made my entire lockdown bearable ️. OK we'll gloss over Toldin. But tbh, thought he was a gonner anyway. I love this story.
