Enjoyed both distance chapters. Both Chuck and Sarah were so far in their heads and worried about being over bearing that they both completely forgot to just act natural towards each other. So glad Ellie stepped in with both of them so straighten them out. Though it wouldn’t have been too difficult to just talk to each other, Ellie nailed it by explaining to Sarah she needs to be reminder to keep Chuck grounded in real life and he needs to be Sarah’s support in this stressful time. Absolutely loved how Chuck explained to Sarah that she was part of his dreams for the future, and insisted that he wanted Sarah to focus on her dreams even though Sarah would not easily accept her dreams taking precedence. Definitely an awww moment she realized how he admitted to wanting a future with her. Mary was just terrible but kudos to Sarah for calling her out her lack of respect for Chuck’s decisions. Really wanted more, Chuck really letting Mary have it and Sarah releasing all the day’s torment she kept battling against but so well done with just the simple request to spend the night. Causing a scene with someone like Mary would never be as satisfying as first blush, she’s just too snarky. Lots of props to Sarah for even going on the shopping trip and for you SC for showing Chuck and Sarah together are stronger than all the little hurdles they face.

This is the best thing I've ever read. I just read the whole thing. Sorry I didn't review all 65 chapters! But I'll review here. the way they grow and get together and the characterization. And it's funny and sexy at times and just the funnest thing I've ever read. I love this story.

You were right, this was the best chapter of this arc. The funniest one for sure. Not that others were bad or something, just this one was the best of them. It's good that at least Zondra is not openly hostile or condescending to Chuck out of these detectives. And maybe Sarah will find a friend in her someday.

This was a wonderful arc. A wonderful arc that highlighted change on many levels. What I found most interesting was how it super highlighted a change in Sarah - a paradigm shift that I think is much bigger than we realize. We experienced her longing for family. We experienced her working as part of a team. We experienced her accepting Chuck as part of her team. We saw how she reacted to Chuck's honesty and vulnerability as he revealed his Piranha alter ego - and the self realization that Chuck really knows so little about her. (heck, outside of Pinkerton, neither do we!) I could almost see the wheels turning in her head as she processed all of that. I wonder if the line: "I'm not going to run away from you anytime I learn something new about you." might have been a precursor to some soul searching for Sarah. To follow it up with "We're more than that." might have been the MOST definitive statement she has ever made about their relationship. For all the obvious ways that Sarah shows her love for Chuck, I've always thought she was holding back - she had both feet in (to borrow and Ellie-ism) but maybe just in the shallow end. It just feels different now. Kinda exciting. I'm really looking forward to where you take these two - and I think the journey is going to be pretty interesting. Thanks for sharing this with us.

One of the things I very much like about Chuck and Sarah in this fic, is the realism that is brought to their relationship. Yes it’s fiction and they can be so overwhelmingly cute together at times lol but it’s not a fairy tale. Separate places for a while was the right way to go. It would be too much to expect two long term independent professionals moving forward from a long distance relationship to living together to not have bumps along the way. Plus you have done a great job to show both of them are not perfect. Chuck can be too selfless and at times a little bit childish but given his bachelor lifestyle that’s a fair quirk to have at first. Sarah is called the Ice Queen for a reason and though she has opened her heart and to some extent herself to Chuck to eliminate the iciness, there is still a bit of selfishness and bossiness not uncommon for someone used to living her life by herself her way for a long time. It’s ok for Sarah to be a little selfish, to want her own things, it’s her life that’s completely upset when she quits and moves to California. Without time for both of them to adapt to a real close proximity relationship which needs alone time too, resentment would start to flourish and neither wants that. Looking forward to seeing how they adapt,to separate places and this new career path for Sarah and though the fan in me didn’t want to see Sarah move out, the good storytelling you have laid out has sorta necessitated it and I give you lots of credit for taking that path.

That was a crazy, wild, off-the-hook ride! I love cocky hacker Chuck. He is insane, in a totally fantasy way! And Sarah, the way you wrote be mind being blown, was also really amazing. Funny thing I kept thinking was that this wasn’t the underachieving Chuck of Canon. This is billionaire Chuck. He’s already successful and has relatively high self-esteem. But he still goes a little crazy with the hacking. The summation of my review really has to be OFF. THE. HOOK!

I can't say enough how much I LOVE this arc. It FEELS like everything is changing, they're growing, together. That they're headed somewhere a million miles and hour and they both have their foot on the accelerator, together. He's not the powder keg, they both are. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this fic, and how you take a basic premise of a movie or a mystery, but turn it into something so Chuck and Sarah. Thank you SC. Thank you so much. You are the best.
