I should feel sad about Itachi's reflection at the end, but I do not. You kept his voice really well throughout - he has done what he needed to do the best that he could, and that is a satisfying thing to know about oneself.

Nice moment with the Third followed by the return of creepy Danzo. *sigh* They just can't catch any down time in the near future, can they?

The pace was perfect for the rapid succession of revelations and choices in this part.

I enjoyed Hana's logical (but pointed) assessment of the situation. Poor Shisui . . .

I'm thinking there are going to be no more secrets by the end of this mission; they are going to want to know why Itachi is going to go off not caring about his safety (because that is what he seems to be gearing up for).

It hurt that he didn't tell Shisui. I know he is reeling, but his friends need to know. Also, somebody needs to go find Tsunade.

The time skip was not too jarring. It came in a rather natural place for it, and the meeting for running being a standard thing for them was a good place to bridge it.

Awkward - but at least he and his intended are on the same page.

You keep Itachi so true to how you are writing him - even in his thoughts about how it would have been to be born into another clan he does not think if he, he thinks if he and Sasuke.
