This chapter raises again the question, how did JKR think that Ron & Hermione were a suitable couple? Short term lust maybe, but for a long term marriage, never. The constant bickering, Ron unable to see the her point of view. If they had married, one of them would be dead in six months, as there is supposedly no divorce in the WW. Harry is smart not to get in the middle.

I’ve always wondered this about fanfictions. The authors almost always mention that any muggle-born or raised students could ace the exams without going to the classes.. but that’s not true, is it? The course is outdated and the information would be old, and most likely inaccurate. So answers based on the modern muggle world would be marked as wrong in the exams. Even if the questions WERE up to date, it’d be no different to trivia games that we play, which many of us are rubbish at because there’s so much information and we all learn different things.
