I havent read this in years! Reading it again was a journey start to finish but by god do i want to see this completed. Its been since 2018 you updated and i really hope to see it updated once again, but i know that its a slim chance you will. This project has taking you years and i can only thank you for putting it out to the public because i absolutely love it. I understand if you lost interest in hetalia or harry potter (i lost interest in hetalia years ago) but wow this story... i hope to see a conclusion one day, i really do.

I’ve just binge read the whole thing and I must say this has been the best read I have had in a while. The story was incredibly captivating and I know that there is probably not going to be an ending to this as they work doesn’t say complete but I must this is now one of my favourite fanfics ever. Thank you so much for your time and effort in this amazing piece of art. I look forward to the time when I re-read this again and again.

Hi! I don't know if you remember who I am, but I was around when you were first writing Snakeskins back in 2013 (I think that's right?). I even did a few arts for it then! I don't log onto Tumblr much now at all, but I was talking with some friends about our favourite fanfics and Snakeskins was the first that popped into my head. I've thought of it now and then over the years, because I never finished reading it and I kept intending to go back and actually finish it at some point, but it was that talk with some friends that actually made me go back and re-read it.

And holy hell, I've been binging it on and off for the past few weeks. I was worried it wouldn't live up to my adult lens and that it wouldn't be as good as I'd remembered it being, but it definitely did and I still love it. I also noticed that you were rewriting on AO3 (I may have been stalking your Tumblr recently...), which I'll definitely need to check out after this.

It's also gotten me sketching and drawing regularly again, which I haven't done in so long, and I've been working on something recently that I'll definitely share on Tumblr once/if I ever finish it.

Not only does it enrich wizarding italy and answer questions about what exactly the Vargases are to their wizarding community, it also put into direct and brutal focus another side of Lovino, expands his role as Wizarding Italy. As always your headcanon of BAMF! Magic Lovi is *french kisses* I did kind of wish we had a little more info on Vargas involvement in Italy in previous chapters, but this chapter delivered!

AND ARTHUR! You allow us to sympathize from both sides: the italies, yes but also arthur's automatic revulsion concerning the death-eater connection. ALSO CHIARA VARGAS SICILIA YOU QUEEN.

I don't think I did that my first read through, which considering how awesome this fic is and how much i love it to pieces is a shame, so here's me rectifying.

Why am i starting from chapter 76. Oh yes i know its because KING LOVI. I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT HIM AND HIS SNAKESKINS BACKGROUND BUT THEEEEEN. BUT THENNNNN. I CANNOT BELIEVE I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVED THIS BULLSHIT NATION LOVELY HUMAN ABSOLUTE MAGIC BAMF.

And then! FLORENCE! Your descriptive scenery is delightful as always and the breadth of your worldbuilding both awe-inspirng and an absolute immersive pleasure to read. I love how all your Italian magical communities are so individual and well-thought out, (FLORENCE! RIBBONS! MUSIC! MARGARET AND HER APPLICATION TO THE FLORENTINE MUSIC ACADEMY IN YEAR FIVE!) and the whimsy bouncing scenery porn of your writing just breathes life and MAGIC into them. I love the sheer business and yet magical mudanity of everything. This paragraph in particular:

(Pets and robes and potions supplies, a stationary store and a candy shop with lollipops that licked back and chocolate buds that bloomed into six kinds of flowers when held in your hand. The magical shops followed the twists and turns of the muggle arcade, and they were crowded with wizards who were laughing, bartering, and amicable about stepping out of the way so there was enough room for two men with luggage to keep going.)

Also the descriptions of the inn and the harp! that was so cute! AND THE INNKEEPERS REACTION LIKE: VARGAS? A VARGAS IN MY INN? Also I love how each of your OCs, even if they're peripheral or background and unlikely to make an reappearance, are solid, 3-d characters just through an introduction, like the innkeeper and her daughter.

I loved the way you phrased that. They definitely seemed more Nation than human, it was really cool.
