That was as gritty and grim as it was gratifying. I figured from the start that Prowl was there to spy, especially with his reactions to all things Decepticon. I knew from the moment he gave Jazz the energon that there was no way Prowl was leaving that blighted city without him. the ending was highly satisfying. thanks for such a great read!

A grim, yet believable, look into the start of the Decepticons. It offers reasons why it took off like it did, scarily believable ways. I can see the decision being hard for Jazz at the end. But I think he made a good one. The city was killing him by inches.

This was an incredible look into Kaon's situation before the war. A unique look into Jazz's story too and how he joined the Bots. I love how Prowl is pained by all he see and tries to understant. Really awesome fic

Fantastic, horrible view of the hell pit society that bred the Decepticon cause. Dare to dream – the one luxury those poor bots can even think to reach for. Although I prefer the more black and white evil/good view of Transformers, this was a beautifully crafted look at how Megatron's end goal isn't necessarily evil. One of the best Jazz portrayals too; much less flighty than is popular in fanfic.

Very good fic, you did an amazing job of capturing the horrors and hopelessness that is everyday life Kaon. I'm so glad Jazz decided to come with Prowl, for a while I feared this would be one of those stories where he actually turns Decepticon. Sad that he had to leave Ric behind, though. Even though he's a grown mech now it can't be easy to have the only family you have left be classified as an enemy. Hopefully Prowl will make it up to him.
