FFFudgeUp chapter 37 . 6h love this story. I wish Cedric had lived. I would have loved it if Voldemort had attack Hogwarts and proven such a liar right away. Can't wait to see what happens next. |
Gigipink chapter 34 . 6/7 I love the twist with Barty Crouch Jr.'s reveal! |
Gigipink chapter 26 . 6/7 I love how Tracey is using the advice she gave Hermione on Harry |
Gigipink chapter 17 . 6/7 Yikes, you'd think Harry was smart enough to do better than Pansy |
Gigipink chapter 10 . 6/7 I'm certainly not against a Harry/Hermione pairing, but the Harry/Pansy pairing in the description is not reassuring. |
Gigipink chapter 8 . 6/7 I love how for the first time Harry isn't a social pariah for being a tri-wizard champion |
Lokabr3nna chapter 29 . 5/1 I don't know if your account is still active or not, but I just found your series and binged it up to this point and figured I would leave this review here, because this is as far as I got before I just couldn't bring myself to continue. Where to begin? First, let me say you are a very talented writer. Your style is clean, concise, and engaging. For the most part, your characterization is top-notch as well. In fact, the way you handle Harry being a teenage boy that actually notices more than one attractive girl at a time feels very true to life, much more so than canon Harry's tunnel vision. Your supporting characters like Tracy, Daphne, and Pansy are interesting and well rounded. Your grasp of the English language is also very good. Your Harry feels very much like how I think a real Slytherin Harry who befriended the Malfoys would turn out. Really, just about everything about this series is superb. But... there is one insurmountable problem that I can no longer ignore for the sake of all those other wonderful elements: Harry. I can tell from skimming your reviews that you've heard variations of this before, but since it is the one thing preventing me from enjoying more of your story, I feel that it must be said: this version of Harry Potter is an arrogant, attention-seeking, unrelatable (to me anyway), and utterly unlikeable twit. You managed, in a completely realistic and believable way, to take almost every good thing about canon Harry's personality, and remove it, leaving almost nothing but his worst impulses and character traits behind. Somehow, you turned Harry Potter into Draco-minus-the-racism. Every time he does something genuinely good or heroic, he immediately says, does, or thinks something that totally negates any good feeling I was starting to have for the character. As excellent as the writing quality is, there's only so far I can read about a main character that I find so utterly disappointing without succumbing to my frustration with him. This chapter was the last straw. I sincerely hope you continue writing someday, and I hope that in some way this review was helpful. But while I greatly admire you as a writer, I just can't take any more TypicalAssholeSlytherin!Harry. |
MayaviPanchi chapter 10 . 2/23 Hermione is a hypocrite. I have never liked her. Hermione and Harry could never be in a relationship, but that's not the point. Hermione is accusing Harry for keeping secrets from her. She demands that she be told every little secret about other people's lives, while she herself is fairly secretive and dramatic about it. I mean if an authorative figure had asked her to keep a secret and not tell anyone about it, she would have taken the secret to her grave. She herself did not tell harry about her using a time turner. And in the canon she did not tell Harry and ron about her date to the ball , even after constant nagging. If harry and hermione end up in a romantic pairing in this fic, i am sorry i am going to abandon this fic. I can't stand the haughty, bossy and hypocrite Hermione. I don't understand why people make her a Marry Sue. |
Guest chapter 23 . 1/9 Harry shouldn't ever date Ginny again. What a miserable little twerp. |
Guest chapter 15 . 1/9 Killing someone painlessly could be the kindest thing you could possibly do for them in a given circumstance. Imperious might be the safest way to get a suicidal teen off the ledge in time, or to cause a toddler to put down a loaded muggle gun in a room full of other kids. A Cruciatus aimed at a single nerve in a patient placed into a magical coma might be a revolutionary way to deaden constant excruciating pain due to curse scarring or some form of injury or magical malady than can not yet be corrected using conventional healing techniques. Unforgivables are unforgivable because the lawmakers couldn't envision any beneficial uses. That doesn't mean there aren't any. Three Strikes or Unforgivables, or any absolutist laws that don't consider intent and circumstance are lazy and unjust. |
Guest chapter 5 . 1/8 I enjoyed this chapter! Barty Jr. was definitely one of their better Defense professors. |
