AHHHH! This is your third story that I have read and where I know I should stop and perhaps save one ore more for a rainy day I just can't stop. Talk about self control right. Any way, great work (as always).

This was a very thoughtful and mature portrayal of pride and especially such a sensitive topic with Hiccup! In so many romance stories/fanfiction, you get the hero being all grateful to the heroine for all her help. But it rarely works out that way in real life and I'm so glad your Hiccup is like that. Being the runt of his village and then having a prosthetic limb really puts Hiccup at a severe disadvantage in a culture (Highland or Viking) that prizes physical prowess above almost all else. You don't want to see the girl you like catch you in a position that reinforces that. But the way they move through it so sweet...! I make dying seal noises now. Eeeee!
