I love young Maiko. There are spec many possible scenarios and yours are so sweet and adorable while bringing in an element of reality from the adult's point of view. I love all the bits incorporated from the show. It makes for a clear chronology and a sense of the pair as they grow up.

That was really nice! Very well written too! It also explains how they got together so fast in season three. I hope you make a second chapter to this though, describing him being banished, and maybe the engagement breaking off after that. I can't imagine it lasting like that.
