Great concept and a very interesting read! With a few exceptions I feel like you've got most of the characters behaving in character, and you've got Eleven's voice and mannerisms down quite well. There were a few times when he did seem to behave very out of character to me though. Threatening Kaylee, for one. Yes, he's upset about Clara, but the Doctor's had people kidnap his companions before without resorting to hostage taking. It also seemed out of character to me for the Doctor to boast that he can't die and basically provoke Mal into shooting him. The Doctor usually doesn't like to rely on regeneration too heavily. Other than that, my main advice would be just to slow down and flesh things out some more. Like I said, you've got a really great concept here, but it could benefit from some more well developed scenes. I'd definitely like to see the scene where Mal kidnaps Clara and the Doctor ends up with the Alliance fleshed out more. It's an extremely pivotal scene that sets up your entire plot and the conflict between the Doctor and Serenity's crew, but there's so many unanswered questions! Why did an entire squad of Alliance soldiers walk into that bar? Were they looking for Serenity's crew? If so, why? What exactly was Mal thinking when he grabbed Clara? That's believable behavior for him, but still somewhat unusual. There has to be a reason he thought going for a hostage was a better bet than his standard "fight our way out" solution. How did Clara react to being grabbed? How did the soldiers react to the hostage taking? How did the rest of the crew react? How exactly did the Doctor end up with the Alliance? Did he go to them for help? Did they detain him for some reason (that's the sense I got, but it wasn't entirely clear)? What was the reason? How did they find the Tardis? That was the most obvious scene that needed more fleshing out, but I think in general you could go back over things and see if anything's a bit rushed or characters who should be reacting are being forgotten about (that's definitely tricky with the number of characters you have to handle here - I think Clara is probably suffering from it the most). Alright, that's probably way more than you wanted to hear from me (I mean, who am I and what do I know, anyway?) so I'll leave off now. I hope that you will find at least some of this encouraging and helpful. Thanks for a fun read and happy writing!
