Aww, very sweet! I love seeing the father/son relationship with Elrond and his children. Really sweet moment between the two of them. Beautiful how it's something that we can relate to, and still has a very Tolkien feel to it.

This was very lovely. It felt very real. Your portrayal of Elrond was as I've always imagined him, especially in that he seems so unapproachable but is probably one of the kindest, most thoughtful characters in Middle Earth. Your prose is easy to read and flows nicely. The dialogue feels like a father and child actually having a conversation. I loved your description of Elladan hiding in the trees.

Also, one thing that stood out to me was Elladan's age. In today's world 15 seems so old. My little sister is in dance and all the ten years old wear make-up and talk about boys and swear and what not. But your portrayal of Elladan made him seem younger than 15, which makes sense considering that elves live longer and he's not being influenced by social media.

Overall, the story is satisfying in its conception and its execution. Thanks for writing!

Most brilliantly written! I love how Lord Elrond comforted Elladan and told him that no matter what he and his mother would love him and be proud of him anyway. I love your stories!

What a sweet little story. You have showed here how one-shots can be a brilliant way of writing. They're especially nice when the writer is making a certain point come across. What I especially liked about this story is that I think most can relate to this. I don't know how many times my parents, especially my father, have comforted me the day before a test. I also think that Elrond's speech is what most parents give their children- I hope that most parents are supportive like this- and that truly gave the story such a nice realistic feel to it.
I truly loved this story. Great job.
