I had a sense that this would happen, Maura relocating to Boston, but I did not know how it would happen. Now I do. This was a very clever twist in your plot to make this happen.

Your writing has also made me feel the panic in Maura. I can also feel her relieve in finally making the decision that she felt looming over her.

A long distance relationship was doomed in the olden days when only the postal system was up and running. Now we have telephones, email, instant messaging and Skype. And they still fail most of the time.
This is so extremely difficult for Jane and Maura. Your words are so descriptive of their deepest feelings that you make the readers feel it too.

How sad. Being forced by circumstances to leave a new found love, your soul mate. Hating it but basically having no other choice.

"playing on the safe side" is definitely not what your words are implying. And the anticipation builds... *licks lips*

The way that Jane and Maura connect on a very deep level is very endearing, especially as they have basically just met each other.

As I said in my review of the previous chapter, this is getting very, very interesting. Your words are creating the possibility of Jane just maybe experiencing her first gay kiss. You are spinning a web of anticipation in the reader.

Ooh... This is going to be very interesting. Maura thinks Jane is gay. Jane have wondered about being with a woman but she haven't explored it further yet.

This brings back so many memories of discovering yourself. The angst of trying to understand all these feelings. Having to cope with trying to accept yourself as gay, not to mention the stress surrounding you in hoping that nobody in your family will notice anything.

Your writing talent is a real gem. You have brought forth all of these long forgotten emotions by placing us in the room, as observers, with Jane and Maura.
