I enjoyed this fic a whole lot, and while I know there's more it felt like the end of an arc in the story. Kagome endured so much and both her endurance of the month long torture and rescue were the climax while her recovery felt like the slow come back. Dealing with the trauma both physical and psychological was horribly tough of her. Many in her place would have gone completely insane; All the more proof that Kagome is one of the strongest characters ever written because she's invincible as a warrior of the heart, it doesn't mean she can't get hurt but that she'll stand up again and be able to keep her heart open no matter what. Because frankly after those awful illusions most people would be paranoid the rest of their lives.

Since I doubt you'll come back to the story let me just say that I loved it, that my ship was Kagome and Kurama (a little bit obvious they would end up together) and that the character interaction was my favorite part.

This whole chapter was pure torture, so much anticipation and anger and impatience and frustration. I hate Naraku but I never thought Kagura would also join in the sickening fun, I hope she has a horrible death here.
Damn.

The camaraderie is nice in the group, serious as they need to be but caring and lighthearted in their own pragmatic way.

The introduction was certainly a lot less rocky with Kagome's intervention and Inuyasha's willing compliance (no matter how reluctant). Thank you for making Inuyasha as close to canon as possible! He's truly a gruff but good guy and while so many fics try to paint him in a bad light to get their own ships in the way I don't understand the antagonism. He's a complex and great character.
Kagome shines here in her negotiation skills, I also like how Inuyasha and Kagome are seen as serious and dangerous because they're used to being surrounded by enemies and caught on traps. You can't blame them.

I love Kagome's sass, she's able to coax Kurama for answers and intrigue him despite being half dead, even impress Yusuke. Aww I found an awesome fic with top tier character interactions and I'm dreading finding it on permanent hiatus.

Oh please update! This is so amazing! The story and plot are well written out, you managed to entertwine two of my favorite anime shows flawlessly, the characters are spot on with how they would act, but you left it at such a substantial moment! I hope you pick this story up again because you have me sitting at the edge if my seat waiting for what is to come and what direction you will write this story in!

You have no idea how much I miss seeing you update this. I love your other work too, but this has to be my favorite one. From your author's notes you seem to be concerned about the lack of action in this story, but it's your character interactions that I love the most! I'm sure you'll get to the action eventually, and even if you don't, I honestly don't mind! Where ever you want to take this I'll still follow along! Well, I just thought I'd leave a review to let you know how much I enjoy your story. I hope you're doing well. :)

Hope to see more of this story! I'm liking the plot, and I'm eager to see where you take it and how everyone begins to rebuild now that Kagome's back.
