In spite of it being short, I think that this chapter was necessary. It gives us a deeper introspective on what kind of person Tegan is- and although I may be at times ashamed to admit it, she reminds me a lot of myself. Having dealt with a lot of anxiety problems as of late, I can completely sympathise with what she's going through. So I suppose this chapter hit pretty close to home, despite it not being particularly "deep" or anything. Anyway, I think this chapter makes for a pleasant read, and I'm intrigued as to who this new mutant is and what his mutation consists of. My only wish at this point is for you to update as quickly as possible (but take your time- wouldn't want to rush you or anything... and yes, I do realise that this comes out as somewhat of a contradiction xD).

I already love Tegan, her mutation seems fairly similar to a character I've created, and I enjoy seeing how others interpret animal transformation characters. Also, I didn't comment in earlier chapters, because I just read this straight through after finding it, but I love the way you develop the relationships between the characters.
Wolverine is one of my favorites because canon Logan is also gruff with a caring side- I think your interpretation is perfect.
When I figured out Scott was gonna be the "Scottie" Alex felt he had failed, I literally had to take a moment and cover my face due to a silly smile because it was so perfect.
I really like that Erik seems to have no thoughts of leaving the family you've created, and he's so committed to helping Alex.
I'd also like to comment that even outside your fic, such as in the canon universe, I'm now seeing parallels between Erik and Alex. I love the way you've developed it here.
