I'll admit that I'm only skimming this story trying to find the main plot points. I did read at the end of this chapter that you believe Loki is not a sword user. This is untrue. Loki has used multiple swords very effectivly in both mythology and marvel comics. Gram, Lævateinn, and The sword of Loki are his main swords.

The only criticism I might make is about Loki and Sigyn's relationship. It's very... unequal, I suppose I would say. Oh at the first of the story Loki was all pursuit and Sigyn was all pursued, and they had confidence/meekness that fitted those roles with a bit of fire underneath the skin.

But it's after the dust of their trick marriage started to settle that things seem to go off the rails. The impression I get of the relationship is that it's very give from Loki's side and very take from Sigyn's. She just kind of does whatever she wants, whenever she wants, however she wants, and "I don't care what you think, haha". And Loki just kind of runs after her. If she wants to go on a trip somewhere, she'll just up and go - and if she wants Loki along, his bags better be packed.

I don't see where she really has to give anything up or make any serious compromises in their relationship. When it comes to arranging schedules, or smoothing down feathers, or bearing the whippings for their joint disobedience, Loki does it all. The most Sigyn ever seems to do is show up for a few holidays here and there, make absolutely no effort whatsoever at building relationships with his parents or acting in a way that doesn't portray him as a public cuckold, and then blaze back out with a note and nary a word. Even their sex lives are unequal, since I get the impression that Loki has orally pleasured her dozens if not hundreds of times, and she's not returned the favor once.

I'll admit that you did well with the gift scene - Loki showered her with gifts before they were even married, and it's nice to see her give back some pretty nifty stuff. Even the sex scene was a bit empowering on his part. But it doesn't really change the general dynamic that Sigyn wears the pants pretty unapologetically.

I'm a bit confused at the huge distaste for being recognized as Loki's wife that's going on. That's what she is, by law apparently. Further, a lover is someone you dally with for a time. It's like calling someone your girlfriend. It doesn't imply permanence like husband and wife does.

Great job again on Lokis point of view. Like the name change too.

Loki was pondering that bridge like no tomorrow. Totally him. Good description of it. I like that we saw how Sigyn views it. Only because it shows how others in different parts of the tree could possibly view Asgards bridge.

I cannot express how happy I found your story! I've only recently got interested in LokixSigyn and your fics (both this and Whims of Ice) are extraordinary! I read Whims of Ice in one go (Like with Prophecies, I got so absorbed that I didn't even review! . I'm sorry about this) and I immediately started Prophecies. I still haven't catch up with the rest of the story, but a couple more sleepless nights and I'll be there, in the same situation with many others, counting the days for the next chapter. You're an incredible writer, and even though you claim you couldn't be a professional writer (recalling your answer to a review you got), because of your not so good abilities in plot development, I do think you could write remarkable books. The kind that grips you with their fascinating development of characters and situations. I was blown away when you mentioned that English is not your native language, I could have never guessed! You simply handle the language beautifully!

I'm in love with the details you put into this, all the little and big things that shape the universe of the story, the difference of the realms; in their cultures, in their customs and ways of thinking. Details that one could claim were not crucial, yet they are, because they make everything so much more real! You've created - or more accurately developed- a breath taking world...

And your interpretation of the characters! Everyone is so believable, they way you write the family relationships in the house of Odin, how they came to be. Absolutely beautiful! And most importantly how Loki and Sigyn interact and love each other, their whole relationship. It hurts my poor heart imagining them apart for years, even if time flows differently for them, it's still time. And all the little signs of Loki's true parentage...

So many things that made me smile, your attention to details is astonishing. But that is the bad thing with reading stories in one go . You gather so many things and by the time you stop long enough to review... your brain goes blank.. But I do plan on changing that

There're too many things happening in my life right now, graduation thesis, comics that need to be done, unfinished commissions, but when time allows, I would love to make a fanart of your story (this or Whims of Ice), they give me so many feels! I definitely hope I'll get to do it :) (If you agree that is!).

lol...he probably will. I like the fact their relationship is getting stronger. Both are starting to show more hesitation towards the inevitable separation. I get their personalities and all, but god they are both young yet how do they keep off from one another. For me being bonded to someone means your soul has found its other half in all ways possible. That when you are intimate with your bonded your soul feels whole and because being bonded so rare that something magical happens to both it was me my body/soul would crave to be with its mate, to connect on a level most never understand, to have that experience again because each time you do the magic gets stronger. So, I hope they get down and dirty on another alter...Hey, maybe that's what the clone will be for. Could see it...The sad thing is I can...lol

Back from vaca. I loved her dress it sounded beautiful. Thanks for the update and I wish are festivities were still like this. Instead of spending too much money in a short amount of time. If it was eating, dancing etc over a period of time it would be so much enjoyable.

When reading a story through, I usually like to catch up before commenting, but I can't wait this time.

Are you me with writing abilities? You managed to get my headcannon situations and better in one story. This has been a flawless blend of mythology and the comics in a way that warms my frozen heart. So many people want to write Sigyn just in the old timey weak wife comics way, but I have been waiting for a strong Sigyn in something that isn't a one-shot.

A few specific scenes I want to highlight my love of:

THE TORTURE SCENE
Perfect. Lovely. Amazing. Tears of joy welled up out of my sadistic eyes. I loved it. I needed it. I can't imagine life before it.

THE WEDDING
"Yes. Yes. YESSSSS! *Skeletor cackle*" - actual quote from me while reading this.
I almost wish the story of Loki and Sigyn's marriage was original to the mythology because that was the best part of Loki and Sigyn's story in the comics to me. It is also hella like myth Loki. It's just something he would do. You. Did. Perfectly. That was the bomb-diggity.

I shall get back to reading this treasure trove now.

Just, one final statement. Loki on point like damn and thanks for not making Sigyn a weak little bitch. Seriously. Thank you. I use that name as a user on some sites. People mock me sometimes because they see her as a weakling. Not really. They don't even know who she is because most people think she is so weak she doesn't even matter as a character.
