I've been trying, every time I re-read your awesome fic, to puzzle out what did you mean with "bueno" during Paloma's and demon!Tim dialogue.

Now I know.

When you say "good", in English, as an answer or interjection, us Spanish speakers say "bien". OK, so it's a bit more complex than that, but take the native Spanish speaker up on her word, alright? Words don't have a 1:1 equivalence. "Bueno" for "good" is almost exclusively when it's working as an adjective.

So you should change the dialogue to:

"Sí," she replied, fear still pain in her expression.

"Bien."

Now it makes sense.

And "Dios" in "Madre de Dios" should be in capitals, like I've just written it. Also, Mexicans wouldn't say much "¡Madre de Dios!"(it sounds more like what old school Spanish or Cubans would say), more like "¡ay, Virgencita!" (ow, my dear Lady!), in allusion to Our Lady of Guadalupe.

In my country we would say "¡Ave María purísima!" (Hail Mary, the most pure!). Yeah, interjections are *highly* localized. I can tell when they've got them wrong in TV/ movies (I think in the Mr & Mrs Smith film, while Brangelina were in "Bogotá", soemeone screamed in the background when shit went down "¡Jesús bendito!". Like, nooooo wayyy, that's something Peruvians/Bolivians would say. Colombians do say "¡ay, Jesús!", like in the ret of the Bolivarian countries and Mexico).

Aside from that, awesome fic. You are amazing. Eveyrtime I read this, it gives me the creeps.

nice, poor Tim. this is not something you easily get over!
earthdragon chapter 10 . 7/11/2014
Oh yeah baby...Tim the Demon Hunter. What a great way to end this very good story. I must admit I loved badass Tim, especially the way he polished off the Reynoza cartel. I do wish he'd told Gibbs exactly what happened in Mexico that led up to that particular killing spree - an event that was triggered by Abby's bullishness.

I'm looking forward to the sequel and I'm guessing that Dean and Tim will not only come into contact with NCIS again, but that Gibbs, Tony and Ziva will join them in the hunt.
DS2010 chapter 10 . 7/10/2014
wow that was some ending. Can't wait for the sequel.
Crawcolady chapter 10 . 7/10/2014
Wow! I didn't see this ending coming! It came out of left field when Tim quit NCIS, packed up his apartment, sold his car, and left! This story was GREAT! Really looking forward to the sequel! Tim and Dean working together . . . oh Hell Yeah!

I just feel sorry for the rest of the team, worrying about Tim and wondering if he is all right!
diana teo chapter 9 . 4/24/2014
Eeks! Give poor Timmy a break or else he'll never be able to recover...
