| Luumus chapter 2 . 8/8/2017 I'm really liking how you are making the characters seem so real and three dimensional. Usually Mulan fanfiction is quite bland in the characterisation but this is really well done, the relationship dynamic between the characters: father/daughter, Mulan/Shang, Shang/Zhou is interesting and actually realistic and goes beyond the happily ever after that was implied in the movies and that fanfiction authors don't usually bother to reach. | Guest chapter 2 . 8/2/2017 No offense meant, but Mulan calls her father 'Baba', not Papa. Baba is an informal way of addressing one's father in some Asian cultures. |

Mulan's accepting the Emperor's gift of being a scholar. Hmmm, this will be an interesting transition for her. I can understand her mother's apprehension. I feel it too. Court people are a nasty, different breed altogether. I LOVE THE GENERALS! There, I said it. Pooor Shang was all flustered and submissive. Me like. Do more! Please, update this soon. I would really like to know where it goes next. |
