You show the characters emotions. Impressive.
OmniUIShaggyOverexaggerated chapter 1 . 1/19/2018
Wow. Can't imagine Scar weeping in his brother's hug. Sad moment.
The Jingo chapter 1 . 3/25/2014
Interesting twist - I'd like it if it were expanded on some more.
RedHoodLover chapter 1 . 10/29/2013
I, uh, whoa. I can't explain how amazing this was. Everyone was acting just right, and the writing was awesome.
Vanessa Masters chapter 1 . 10/23/2013
Oh wow! marvelous work :D
BlueStarReturns chapter 1 . 9/25/2013
This was very well done! I liked the concept of everything being changed up a bit and that, ultimately, Scar was redeemed. The only thing that, to me, is kind of sad is that, unless you were to continue from this point in some way, Simba will never meet Timon and Pumbaa. They could still end up being friends with as great writing that I saw here, only the circumstances wouldn't be the same. Very well done and favorited! I look forward to reading more of your stories.
ArizonaSivy chapter 1 . 9/10/2013
Welcome again, Twin! I see you like long words that begin with an 'I', don't you?
'I smell hyenas'- oh that was clever. Good way to lead the plot in the right direction. And also your art of the use of words again came close to mastery. I mean, do you spend your days studying the English dictionary? Your vocabulary is as wide as the doors of a barn!
Nice change of places between Scar and Mufasa there, too. Personally, I don't suppose he'd be all touched and crying after being saved, rather turning around with a blunt 'thanks' only to go lick his wounds and continue his scheme... But then again, I too like to think of him in terms of conversion. At least sometimes.
Thanks again. Adios! XD
IronicSnap chapter 1 . 8/22/2013
Now this was a fun read! Great action, hugely tense. I had a bit of a dark chuckle at the references to the film's dialogue, particularly "what would he think? And what would his father think?" It was oddly nice to see Scar get along with Mufasa and Simba, but not in an overly-fluffy, massively unlikely way - it felt very believable and in-character for everyone. And that ending was certainly a lovely moment!

That said... I was half-expecting, nay, HOPING, that Mufasa would murmur "Hail to the King!" and throw Scar back into the antelopes :D

The idea of Scar trying to have a change of heart is interesting - maybe there's enough material here for a sequel one-shot where he tries to disentangle himself from the hyenas and his previous attitudes? Just a thought.

Til next time!
Determined-Day-Dreamer chapter 1 . 8/21/2013
I love it! I love the descriptive wording and especially they fluffy little bit at the end :)
I honestly wish this was the way things had gone in the Lion King, but then again, if it did, we probably wouldn't have that wonderful piece of fanfiction, now would we? X3
Emerald dreamer96 chapter 1 . 8/20/2013
Wow. I've read stories like this before and toyed with the idea myself, but this really was brilliant.

The writing was fantastic and beautiful as usual especially during the Stampede. Everyone was perfectly in character. I really enjoyed seeing Scar's thoughts, you always manage to get him spot on. and the concept is plausible and interesting.

I've gotten so used to the idea of Mufasa being at least partially responsible for Scar's condition that I thought that the "Mufasa was not the perfect king as in the movie" was something else entirely. I honestly expected Mufasa to guess what happened and throw Scar off the cliff. This added a lot of tension and really made me feel a surge of relief when he pulled him up.

Mufasa and Simba's gratitude and the former's regret and determination to reconcile, was very well done. The emotion of the scene was touching. Scar crying into his brother's hug and feeling shame and hope was perfect. It would in any other circumstances feel completely out of character but you managed to pull it off.

Great work all round. Really enjoyed this story.
pokeking95 chapter 1 . 8/20/2013
A nice little AU one-shot. It's not the first time I read about Scar saving Simba in the gorge, but I believe it's the first time where nobody died. This is good, because it places emphasis on the themes of family and forgiveness, both of which are done well here. I'm a bit confused as to why the hyenas started the stampede early, but I suppose their presence isn't that important aside from... well, starting the stampede early. Not much to say from me, but I liked it overall. Good job.
Lord of Beef Dip chapter 1 . 8/20/2013
Very good. And it pained a good scenario of how Scar could have a change of heart in regards to killing his family. Everyone seemed in character as well, which is what I'd expect from one of your stories.

Of course, Scar could never tell anyone of the plot. And he would have to make sure to completely discredit the hyenas should they ever try and rat him out. As it was, in a way they deserve that, as their impatience almost got Scar killed.

Fave'd.
A Lovable Mutt chapter 1 . 8/19/2013
Love it. Very good. I half wish this wasn't a oneshot. But the other half likes it the way it is. Love it.
GeminiGemelo'sMom chapter 1 . 8/19/2013
Scar, in his turn, was just as dispassionate and apathetic as ever, it seemed. He walked forward slowly and in his usual manner, with a deliberate sluggishness and languorousness that suggested boredom. His hunched and bowed form seemed unnaturally bony and delicate—a perception that his slender, almost effeminate figure only seemed to augment.

Scar should have expected such a reaction: his brother overshadowed him in nearly every aspect of life, and even Simba's interest in him seemed to dwindle and perish whenever the walking hunk of sentient muscle—the veritable form of love incarnate—walked onto the scene.

Again, the imagery is absolutely amazing! I could SEE it all!

Loved the last line too...Scar...actually has a heart! LOL

Hope you win My Love...Keep Writing...Mom
Ceu Praca chapter 1 . 8/19/2013
Yet again, you have astounded me with your writing talent; I'm kind of...speechless. The way you write Scar's character is always gripping and exciting, and I'm always thirsting for more. Wonderful, well done!
