Yes! I love the thing with the national anthems! Loved it. Alfred's character is already so wonderful, and all your little details really add themselves together to create a great picture. Bravo ;p

Dang, I love the way you write. Something about the way you paint a scene draws me in. When you were first describing Arthur's calm before the storm, I could imagine it. Silent, perfect... and then broken. Even in this short sort of prologue, it's easy to imagine the characters and get a feel for them, what they look like, etc. Really great job, mate! I like it, I hope you'll be writing more... though I hope the next chapters will be longer. It seems good, I'll give you a follow for sure. :) Be warned, by reviews tend to be critical and quite long once I get into them. :) You could probably add a little more descriptions, don't be afraid of them. Describe expressions, use synonemes, use thesaurus on the interner (thesaurus dotcom is a good one), and experiment. You've got time and all. :) If you'd like to play with words and their connotations, on dailywritingtips dot com you can find many lists. It's cool.
