You captured the personalities and mannerisms of the characters so well, it could have been pulled straight from the next Kick-Ass installment (if there is one *crossing my fingers*). You are so incredibly talented and I adored every line of this. It was truly amazing. I hope to maybe see more from you?

This is definitely going to my favorites. I just saw KA 2, too, so I get the feeling.
Is it weird that I'm reading this kind of thing? I mean, Im a dude, so... Whatever, Hitgirl is hot an i'm not talking about some sexual reference bull, but about the fact that she could kick everyone's asses, like a Tom Raiden but cool.

Addressing your Authors note at the end, a 3rd Kick Ass is already confirmed/pre-filming. And Chole Mortez is co-starring as Hit-Girl/Mindy. Don't know how they will bring her back or how long will have gone by but she is going to be in it and it will be a Kick-Ass movie...I personally can't wait.

After watching "Kick-Ass 2" I needed it to read more about Dave/Mindy. Love these two. Just perfect together. Enjoyed your fic. Good writing.

Wow, that was PERFECT! I loved the way you ended it after giving them a three year gap, it made sense that finally Mindy and Dave both somewhat finds peace after all the crap their super-hero life gave them.
Now as for the third movie, I am pretty sure that both the directors/story writer knows that if the make another kick-ass movie, it wouldn't work if they left out Mindy or Dave! Heck there would be no kick-ass without the character himself being there, and Mindy is really the charm of these movies, they definitely can't leave her out! They have definitely messed up the ending because Mindy was supposed to get arrested with Dave trying to bust her out, that is how I think the third comic will go.
But now I have no idea how they are gonna do the third movie but Dave and Mindy will both be there (official news) and I hope they actually make the poring because as Mindy is growing, it just seems like she is the one for Dave more and more!
I loved your story and I hole that both our expectations cine true in the third movie :D

There is a third comic, but I don't know how they'll be able to turn it into a movie considering how they completely changed the ending. Hit girl was actually supposed to get arrested, and the final battle took place in times square.
At this point it the comics, it's mostly about how they're supposed to break her out of jail, but chickened out and decided they needed to train more, but really they're just kinda screwing around and playing at being superheroes. (Plus there's one jerk on the team that's not doing anthing and using the place as his own personal bachelor pad.) I think breaking her out is going to be a big plot point though, so I don't know how they'd make the next one since that bit was left out.
Anyway, I really liked your fic. It was really sweet. :)

really glad you added that slight smut scene. it's only natural for the two to lust after each other since so much time has gone by. the tension must have been incredible. funny, and true, how mindy's on top!
