I love this story SO much! It's a fresh take on the story and the best what-if scenario I've ever seen. I like the idea of Saitou being the main character and I love the Saito/Sano interactions. This has to be one of the best Saitou/Sano stories online. I do hope that some day you decide to continue.

Please update! Want to see what happens in the Shishio arc! Will Sano get even learn the Futo no kiwami (can't think of the real name right now sorry-the hand thingy) or will Saitou take everybody along with from the beginning? So exciting!

I don't suppose, after nearly four years, there's much hope of you returning to this? All the same, it was a fantastic read. I bought into everything you dished out, from Kaoru's death at the very beginning to Sanosuke and Saitou's relationship (although the latter is entirely too adorable and addictive to even mention). Great job maintaining the tone of the original series, from the more comical to the slight drama. I very much enjoyed. :)

But the other night, I had a dream about the last chapter, and being a big SaiSa fan, I decided to look it up in case there was anything new...but alas! Wow, this is an awesome story! Eventhough it's an AU, it is very believeable. So, good job! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you will update this, but since there have been people who do update after a year or two hiatus I still have atleast some hope that you may one day finish (or at least update) this story.

This is...wow, just wow. Its great, and everyone is still in character. Well, Aoshi got a little out-of-character in that scene with the picture seller, filling kenshins role. That is, however, the only instince I can find, good job! And it always bugged me that no one bothered to train Sanosuke, even I could see examples of his potential!

Also, another thing that buggs me, after loosing his Zanba sword Sano just resorted to useing his fists. Now not that I can blame him, hes good at that. But with the stronger and stronger opponents comeing out of the woodwork, where are his weapons. (The question mark and apostiphie buttons on this stupid ten-year old laptop dont work. Just pretend they are there.) I mean, in his flash backs to the sekihotai hes handling a sword with reasonable skill, fending off larger and more experienced men. Logic says he should still be able to use a sword to some extent, but never in the series have I seen him pick one up to fight with. I mean, common sense says he should still be able to use one to some extent!

...Sorry, I got carried away. This is a great idea and you exicuted it without butchering everything. Very good job, love the story, please continue and update soon.

This is a really believable AU fic. You've managed to keep them all in character. I could so see Aoshi acting like that if the other four hadn't died.

I'm kind of sad that you haven't updated in long time. I hope that you continue the story at some point.

i really like the idea, a "what-if" scenario. although i don't agree with shounen-ai pairings, it's a good fic.
