Amazing story! I love the fact that Placebo was in the movie and I adored your characterization of them!

Kudos for writing everyone in character; that's what really sets a good story apart from the others. I very much enjoyed reading this. I've always loved the bit in the film when Arthur meets up with the Creatures, and I thought the way you explored it was really smashing. They're such a lovely cast to play with, yes? Lovely work, minsky.

Nice! You've got an excellent handle on Arthur, Malcom, and the rest of the boys, and have done a good job of weaving your story into the vignettes presented in the film without being too gimmicky about it.

Honestly, I think that this story would benefit greatly from a bit of revising, but it's enjoyable as is.

I love this fic! Ive had to link about tonnes of my friends to this just so they can see the brilliance of it! The bits with Malcolm and his sister give me a really funny feeling, and the whole thing seems so real. thanks for such a great read, and all i can say is - more!

Like one of the other reviewers, I was listening to Placebo as I read this, and it was very eerie hearing "My Sweet Prince" as Curt was described in Arthur's eyes. (Aww. I just hope they end better...Curt, please don't fuck with Arthur's brain...)

Seriously though, Brian Molko is the rock star(let) I am most obsessed with, Christian Bale is the actor I am most obsessed with (Damn you, Newsies, my truest love!) but I know Arthur is meant for Curt (besides, Ewan McGregor is a close second on the actor obsession scale, and if this were a perfect world, he would also be second on the rock star scale...) so I've always wanted to see a nice friendship fic between him and Malcolm. This was all that and more. Warmed my little heart, it did. And it is the first all-encompassing Flaming Creatures fic I have ever read (the rest have all been little snippets, so I've been dying for a nice meaty one), very satisfying. :-)

Yet I'm still on the search for a fic where Billy makes more of an appearance...(Ahem. Rampant Placebo lust sometimes catches me unawares.)

I remember noting that the "It got too big, too schizoid...He thought he fucking was Maxwell Demon" line was a little off, but this is just a minor editing comment.

Oh and I happily suspended disbelief that the Flaming creatures performed after the "I'm being attacked by a bloody porno!" scene, because it never made sense to me in the movie why the music was playing while the Bandmembers were still backstage. Hey, maybe you even analzyed that right and I just missed it with all the time-screwing that went on in VG (not that that wasn't part of what made it so wonderful).

I have loved every one of your Arthur and Curt stories (Jonny Rhys-Meyers is so pretty, why can't I like Brian more, or have any sympathy for him whatsoever? But, surprise surprise, I liked Brian in your Tommy vignette, or at least felt some modicum of sympathy for him...). Please, write more VG fic. I am coming to depend on you...I generally tend to look elsewhere than for fic, (coughcough*WAAYtoomanyMarySuesandgrammar-challengedFangirls*coughcough) but Dot hon, you just might be changing that!

I know it's finished, but I want MORE! I guess I'll just go and read your other stories then...

Aw! I love Arthur! He's so adorable, and I know I have said that in just about every review, but you write him so well and I can totally see him in all his cute glory. Though he isn't a spineless ponce... He did make it out of his house alive, you know. :) But I really like this chapter, it's very cute and ended in the right place, before the rooftop scene. :D So I hope you will write more Arthur soon, because the world can always do with more of him and your writing. (I can't believe I just said that... lol)
