Very nice, quite beautiful in a way...I find Battle Angel Alita under appreciated as well as it's such a beautiful story, and your story is quite wonderful as well.

That was nice... Extremely optimistic, but nice. I've read, and own, both Alita serries as far as they have come out, and I have to say that I honestly doubt there will be a happily ever after for the Killing Angel. Maybe that's just my pessamistic side. I hope that you are right, and she does get back to Earth and Figure, and even the baby. Though I do wonder what kind of mother she would be... I could talk for hours about the Mighty Alita, but for now, I'll leave it at this. Good job.

I really liked this ficcy. I'm a big fan of BAG, especially the older series (The new one just plain stinks) and I find this wonderful- it also closes something that remained open at the end of the last manga.

I just finished reading the lil' fanfic you wrote - Battle Angel Alita that is. The one where Ido sends one last message to his angel. Well you wanted a review, here you have it.

The theme's pretty good, setting with Alita's son, and Alita trying to forget her past - that is really ... interesting. After all that she had done, suffered; after all that she had lost in her growth from the spunky Alita who had fallen head over heels for Hugo, to the indescribly beutiful young woman - both in spirit and physically (you know Alita in Angels Ascension - I thought she was just beautiful - wondrous ... the last part when she said her good bye to Figure was heart wrenching.) Throughout her growth she had learned so much. Now for her to try an forget ... I don't know. I certainly don't disagree with you, completely. I personally think that her past life ... would always remain with her. No matter her body, she would still live the discipline that Jashugan told her to live (this is in Fallen Angel ... Damn I actually remember ! YAY!), she would still follow what he had and strive to become stronger. Remember that her master in Mars had told her that the ultimate goal in training was to acheive human life in her mechanical body ... the spiritual chi...( too deep for me man ...!)

On the other hand, I can certainly understand why she would want to forget. Alita is immortal in the manga, but she is also the most mortal. Her real strength lies in that. As an immortal she had power over everyone (metaphor - the Imaginos body), but as a mortal - she saved the three worlds (she lived and died in that docking bolt) (as to her rebirth in the womb of the tree of life - ... well you'll just have to read about it when I post my fic up. :) ). She is very human, so for her to forget I think is very likely as well. I defintely like what you did with Ido ... for Yukito to have left him alive serves many purposes ... (too much to discuss here) but to kill him off, also served it's own purposes - as you demonstrated. I like the fic ... it's short and to the point. No Angels, just humans. Keep it up and will hope to see more of you. (BTW if you're interested in some of my fiction - if you have the time - go to the game section of and look for "Different roads" by lordFolken in the Dead or Alive(DOA) sub-section - it's only one chapter (second chpt pending...)... but it's pretty big. If you know anything about the game - i know you'll enjoy it ... here's hoping anyway. Please R&R though if you can. :) )

The idea is good, but I thought it strange that Ido made a recording after he had already made one in the original. The backup chip is an interesting concept and would certainly be a great topic for another story. The writing's a bit rough and it doesn't flow as smoothly as it could, but still a very enjoyable story!
