I absolutely loved this. You packed so much intimacy and such a vivid emotional experience into a one-shot. I think the way you write their characterization/personality quirks and motivations are spot on. You really articulated how well they were made for each other in this story. I agree that Uhura would be a very focused women, and that would of course affect her romantic life, but the scene where she was relieved to pick up her padd highlighted that’s she wasn’t/ isn’t necessarily bad at relationships, she simply hadn’t met the right partner for her. I also particularly enjoyed him listening to music through her. This was such an enjoyable read!
