Though I'm more cerebral and prone to introspection than Raphael, many of his characteristics really resonate with me. You have some beautifully crafted sentences: ''Raphael was utterly secure on his construction crane roost, his powerfully muscular bulk draped over the panels and rivets with all the uncaring languor of a snake in a tree.'' WOW

''He was the vanguard of tough love, the defense by offense''. A real beaut ;)

Your imagery is very strong. I felt the chill. Raphael is my favorite and you did him justice in this piece. I enjoyed it! Keep it up!

Wow... that was beautiful. It was more than beautiful, it was deep and potent. You have a vivid way of describing things, and let me tell you, I ate every word up with wide eyes and a dropped jaw. The insight into Raphael you crafted is so believable and concise, told in a way that transfixes me as a reader and inspires me as a writer.

I love your reasoning on Raph's tough love towards his brothers. That line: ""He didn't know if Mikey had even an inkling that he was being taught to defend himself at the hands of someone who cared, rather than learning, too late, at the hands of someone who didn't."" Boy did it give me chills. There's so much in this piece that gave me chills, actually. The opening paragraph; the line on Regret; the line on Isolation.

This is awesome! Very interesting and a great look at Raph. I thought you characterized him very well. Everything was written very vividly- I liked his reasoning for his tough love, especially the way it's explained through him picking on Mikey. Very good job :)

As reviewed over at the Technodrome, I absolutely love your take on Raph. I especially love how that biting comment from Leo haunts and eats at him. I personally think that Raph really admires his older brother but there are layers of jealousy and complications between them that make it nearly impossible for all but animosity to show through. I think you bring an insight to his character that I haven't seen exposed quite in this way before. The fandom is better with this included. Keep writing! (P.S. you'll get more hits if you move this under ninja turtles instead of TMNT)
