What the heck is the exchange rate to pounds? Thirty Galleons for tuition with seventy left for supplies?! Harry's WAND was seven in Canon. That's the ONLY financial reference we are given by JKR. G1000 for the tri- wizard prize sounds like a small fortune by your numbers.
Most fics use either five pounds to the Galleon, or twenty to one. Neither one of those works for G30 tuition.
How much does a ministry worker make? An auror? A teacher? With five kids at Hogwarts next year, the Weasleys will pay G150? Compared to that how much are a Nimbus 2000 or a Firebolt?!
I think a WHOLE LOT of thinking needs to be done, and some changes made.
For a clue, G1000 is the same as THIRTY THREE years of school?

If Harry received his letter two weeks ago, then so did Hermione. She may not KNOW they are coming today, but she HAS been informed she is a witch. ( On a related note, they are not supposed to get their letters until their eleventh birthday. Hermione's was Sept 19 last year, so she should have already been visited, and shopped, and read ALL her books three times each!)
Not sure what the aversion to Canon is, but it's pretty much a complete rewrite, except using JKR's characters (?).

One of the most inventive AUs I've had the pleasure of reading. I especially like how you expanded the wizarding world and gave it a fully-functioning medieval style economy, and reimagined the core Hogwarts subjects. Very ambitious (perhaps too ambitious?)

Hey there, this was an awesome story, I really love the world-building you've done as it all sounds really interesting. Neville in particular seems even more shy and nervous than he was in canon and the way Harry, Ron and Hermione are going to have jobs is really cool. The setting is quite medieval which is somehow charming.

I noticed you've not updated in a year but I hope you're considering updating this again because it great!

I hope you have not abandoned this story. I like it very much, though I have to concur with at least some of Taure's criticism. Harry appears to be very lazy, and Ron seems to be a bd influence already. I can not find any redeeming qualities for Ron. Harry promised to work hard and the first thing he seems to do is slack off. This is, of course, very much Canon!Harry, so this miht be why you are writing him this way, but I would very much prefer a competent Harry, who does not shy away from work etc.

Anyway, I am looking forward to another chapter and hope that you will not make us wait long.
