This was really a nice story. I enjoyed it throughly.
only thing I noticed is that it's obvious that whoever wrote this is British. So many non-american phrases kept making me chuckle. like I was watching SPN through a Doctor Who lens. For example we say power outage, or the power went out. not a cut. Or store instead of shops. Candy instead of sweet. Although we just call the sore throat sweets, cough drops, or throat lozenges. If you ever were to revise this that's the only thing I would recommend updating.
Anyway, I especially loved how you illustrated Cas' social dysfunctions. that was awesome.
