| Tenjo chapter 1 . 7/2 So where did this go wrong? For starters, having them all suggest he quit makes sense... having them all hate him and actually attack him does not. That’s just you forcing the plot. Secondly, in a story where the whole selling point is that Ash turns from his useless self into a badass with his badass team... starting him off as some prophetic chosen one who is already OP but has been holding back not only makes the backstory a complete joke, but contradicts the appeal of what’s to come. Thirdly and relative to the last point; prophecies of any kind ruin stories, especially when the prophecy isn’t open ended. |

I do not know what it is with stories always trying to introduce a 'bad guy' or 'evil organization'. Is it to much to ask for a story that is just about pokemon and the pokemon world? Without all of the various groups of bad guys, and bad pokemon who aim for evil things. |
