This is adorable! I also love how its in second person. I can't write it, so I admire people who can :]

I don't usually go for AUs, but I really enjoyed this. :) I found myself rooting for them to get together the whole way through, and I think you did a great job setting up a realistic progression from total strangers to finally asking each other out. Plus, any and all fangirling over Volkner is always good with me! :D

It did kind of come off less like Dawn's POV and more like one of those stories where the reader's supposed to put herself in the shoes of the main character, but I felt like it totally worked either way, so that's more of an observation than a criticism.

Oh, and I loved the ending, when they were both apparently so psyched about their date that she forgot the receipt and he forgot the bag. Too cute. XD

That was a pretty cute story but from who's point of view was it from cos that was the only confusing thing.
