Aw, that was cute! It's so like Data to try something like that. He is such a sweetie. And of course he'd do it for Geordi. And he wasn't quite conventional about it, but the point was that Geordi knew his heart was in the right place. Just so cute!

So cute! Geordi is a liar because he did use the free hug! It is fitting really, so much so, in fact, that it would fit along excellently with the Star Trek series. Nice choice in literature too. I am sure Geordi would love that book. *)! Brilliant work.

You have some problems with articles and verb tenses, but this is a really cute one-shot. You did a fair job of keeping Data in-character.
