Reviews for Kamui
Swirlycloud chapter 1 . 7/31/2013
I have not read anything like this before - it's a fascinating read, for sure. The detail you put in works so well for what you are trying to accomplish, and accomplish well is what you do! The imagery here is very solid, and it's amazing because... how DOES one describe the nothingness that is Kamui Land?

- Darkness has a tangible characteristic. You can feel through the dark and everything would still exist. Nothing is completely gone in darkness. This was more like a void. -
-} Ah, I really like the describing you do, here. This was the coolest part, I think...explaining that difference between darkness and the void. It's a very introductory and sensory experience, and something that will take getting used to - even if he's already mastered one part of the technique.

- Being suspended in nothingness for just a moment wasn't all that bad when he thought about it. It was actually worth it. -
-} I think this line says a lot about how he's feeling. He just wants to feel something new, something different that will distract him from his heartache and his past. Feeling nothing must be surprisingly refreshing, in the most jaded way imaginable. By the very last line, in his thoughts, we can see that moving away from the past and toward his new goals is already the only thing on his mind... I wonder if Obito escapes to his other dimension whenever he needs to clear his mind? Forcing away your past life - especially *his* life must be extremely difficult. I doubt it was as easy as he made it to be, during his flashback, after Rin's death...
