Oh yes, one of the first stories I read for the ME universe, at the time it was going at around the 20th ... 25th chapter I think, I still hate reading unfinished stories lol blame it on the awful feeling of not knowing what happens or how a story ends when it caught you attention. Can't believe it's been 6 years already... Wow.

I was feeling nostalgic and started playing ME a few days ago, and it brought me so many memories, then came the need to fuel my imagination with some good old fanfiction for this couple, damn I still love them to this day! I'm glad you shared this with the world, and I checked your other story too (the one with Dr Chakwas), it was really good too. Hopefully one day you'll come back to finish it, who knows if I feel nostalgic 6 Year from now I'll find the final chapter posted :)

Anyway, just wanted to let you know people like me still remember and come back to your stories, this one was certainly beautiful and gave me more than the crappy ending we got back in the day of ME3. I hope life is treating you well dear author, Im sending my love from another galaxy :3

A recent replay of Mass Effect prompted me to reread this fic. I’ve had a lovely time. I appreciate so much about your writingthe humor, the British spellings (so exotic but yet so like coming home), your command of words which gives you the power to bend them to your will. What I love the most is your ability to capture the tenderness and intimacy of this relationship. I’m not talking about sex here; I know people are prone to confuse the two. Real intimacy is ineffable, but somehow you still manage to catch in your descriptions of everyday moments of caring and compassion. The world needs more caring now. Thank you for spending your time and energy writing this and reminding us of how caring may move a person, a world and maybe even a galaxy.

I’ve always wanted to go to Scotland and Ireland. I love the way you describe the landscape. It is in these descriptions of gentle, intimate moments between the pair that your writing truly shines.

This story was a perfect answer to the Mass Effect trilogy ending. Somehow you managed to paint a picture I felt compatible with my own Shep and Liara. Only my Rayne had black hair and cerulean eyes :D. Thank you so much for sharing them with us so poignantly.

Sigh. Shepard is Alliance Navy, not marine. Commander is an 05 ranking in the navy. A marine 05 equivalent would be a LT Colonel. What Bioware made Alenko in ME3 would be an 04 marine officer... a Major. Shepard's next rank as an 06 would be Captain, which is what Anderson was. Navy personnel are typically 'topside' operations, however, special forces such as Navy Seals, or N7 in Shepard's case, would be a 'groundside' exception. But not a marine.

Be that it may, good story so far. I am enjoying it!

Such an amazing piece of work, it's art in the form of writing. Mass effect is such an amazing and my favourite franchise, and your story is fantastic, you have created and detailed universe within a universe. I can tell blood, sweat (possibly tears?) we're put into this story, and it has inspired me to be a better writer myself.
