But i am glad to see you still got plans to rewrite this story as i could use a new series in my usual reading plus i will never turn down a Cagalli story :D and will fight to my last breathe that Kira and Cagalli is not incest seeing as that whole reveal was relevant for all of 5 minutes for the whole point that they didn't want fans to complain *sigh*

I do hope life slows down a bit for you relax and enjoy some of you hobbies with out the whole "running around like a chicken with you head off" College life :P

Cool to here that you'll eventually rewrite the story and when you do perhaps you can use elements from the Gundam Seed RE: manga when you do.

Instead of cagali using a mobile armor or what not why not have her use a "unknown" MS that was already on the ship?

I know this is really beating a dead horse, but... I can't help it. That was really stupid of you not to have MULTIPLE backups.

1 - Just because Google Drive didn't always work doesn't mean you shouldn't have had a backup on there regardless - there will always be a computer out there you can find that doesn't have problems with it. And while I know you did end up trying to put a backup on GD near the end... your reluctance to do so sooner ended up costing you.

2 - You could have emailed the Word file to yourself. I do this all the time, and it's honestly the safest form of Backup if you have Gmail - don't know how well it works with other email service providers. Even if you couldn't attach the whole file size of the story into a single email due to limits, you could have separated the story into multiple parts and email them to yourself that way.

3 - The possibility of physical copies, like Flash Drives, being destroyed is always very much there, which is why you should always have at least TWO flash drive copies - the one you bring with you and the one your keep at home as the backup's backup.

You learned a tough but nonetheless valuable lesson, and I hope you take this all into consideration next time you take writing a story as seriously.

have you thought about usingyour phone as a thumb drive, and Google Drive to keep a backup of your works? I think it has an old school briefcase functionality, though I could be wrong.

Why not use Google drive to store your documents? That way they are unlikely to be lost or destroyed...
