I just came across this story and I absolutely love it! I've seen almost no stories from Hunith's perspective and you did it so well. Thank you so much for writing :)

It was Hunith's unselfishness towards, understanding and acceptance of her son which had me in tears. You wrote so passionately about it and when I read your profile, I understood, you could stand in her shoes.

You surpassed yourself with the hawk at the end, now THAT was excellent. I love how Hunith talks to him off-offhandedly and what it represents.

I can just hug you and THANK YOU with all my heart for this. You made this a thousand times better than my original headcanon because you understand Hunith's motherly heart so perfectly and it gives all a whole new dimension!

I have to say, I absolutely love Hunith with all my heart. She's one of the greatest characters in Merlin and you've paid her tribute brilliantly in here. :D
What I love the most about this is the Druids. Yes, that was incredible and touching and just overall beautiful! It touched my heart that they wept at the sight of Merlin and then when you brought in ISELDIR I think my heart burst! Just the THOUGHT of Iseldir knowing Merlin since his birth sends shivers down my spine!

This line was wonderful, "Let destiny and prophecy trumpet their presence thought Hunith"

Wow. I just...wow, April. You did an absolutely brilliant job with this. The thought of the druids actually being there is a new headcanon of mine, for sure! :)
