LOL. Best line in the story so far. Thanks for the hearty laugh. It's just what I needed after a rough week. We've got two alpha males who aren't going to conceded their territory without a fight. I'm looking forward to more interaction between Bruce and Britt.

I also found it interesting how the Prince of Gotham managed to get under Britt's skin (hmm, he needs a good nickname, too). Our publisher is usually cool and aloof, so this brings out a new side to his personality. It's also good to see Bruce, as the World's Greatest Detective, picking up on the subtle idiosyncrasies surrounding Britt.

It sure is going to be fun when the Bat and the Hornet meet up for the first time. I've got an inkling Kato will be the determining factor. You are going let the GH get the upper hand, right? Perhaps I should rephrase that... You are going to let Kato get the upper hand, right? :-)

On a side note, I feel bad for Roman. He's misinterpreting the signals from Casey, though I can understand why. He's shy around women and she's nice to him. This is going to get messy.

This chapter is loads of fun. I really enjoyed the suspense that's building regarding the first meeting between Britt and Bruce. Now that Gotham's billionaire playboy has glimpsed the wounded Hornet, will he detect any restrained movements on Britt's part? Combined with Casey and Donnie's strange behavior when they returned to their apartment, there's enough to stoke Bruce's curiosity.

To be entirely truthful, I'm now sure how I want that to work out. I think I'd prefer that Britt discover the bat's identity first, but we still have a whole story to go. Lots of things can happen.

Did Mike actually listen to Britt? *eyes widen* That came as a pleasant surprise! I'm glad he finally displayed some common sense and respect for his boss. Though I am also glad Britt didn't trust his star reporter, or else a bloodbath could have ensued. The next chapter should prove very exciting!

I love all your little name-dropping references you stick in these stories (Christian Bale in this one, Orson Welles in the Shadow). They make me giggle!

Nah, I'm not going to tar and feather you for shooting Britt. If you decided to kill him, that would be another story. I'd have to stock up on tar, feathers and boiling oil. :-)

You're off to a fantastic start. I like the False Face Society. They're organized, dangerous and mysterious. They should prove to be a solid challenge for the Hornet and Batman. Since they attracted the bat's eye, they must have been working in Gotham – or have a branch operating there. I like the idea of the Society being a national (or international) syndicate.

I'm curious what happened to Mike. I gather he managed to escape in the frenzy, but there is always the possibility one of the Society's men grabbed him. I'm also curious how Donnie recognizes the batarangs when Britt didn't. I'm eager to see the first meeting between Britt and Bruce – and the clash between the Hornet and Batman!

I congratulate you for taking on such a project; crossing the Bat and the Hornet always seemed, to me at least, a must. After all, Gotham City and Century City never seemed that far apart. But only if it was done correctly. The last time they tried it, all that camp jazz got in the way of an potentially interesting and volatile crossover. You seemed to have the makings of a "correctly" done flick fic (I put "correctly" in quotes because that word is all so relative, you know?).

Tarred and Feathered? Please. Putting out handsome hero in disguise through the wringer to the (gleeful) worryings of his fans(girls) is how we thrive in this fandom! ;)
