Addict to Fanfics chapter 1 . 12/4/2013 Damn... I had thought it might be so but that didn't make it any less wrenching to read the end |
Samzi chapter 1 . 11/14/2013 Sherlock watching over John :-D I just knew it. |
librarywitch chapter 1 . 11/1/2013 Oh man, I love John carried on. Strong man there. |
Addicts Inc chapter 1 . 9/1/2013 It's enough to break your heart. |
jack63kids chapter 1 . 7/29/2013 Oh, oh, oh! That is gobsmackingly good. Seriously, another one of your shorts that has me choked and teary-eyed. beautifully done with all the best of Sherlock characterisations and ACD canon with the deception. If there was a way to favourite in favourites, this would be top of the heap. Great list of things that John continues to do - really sets the scene for what's to come and is great prose in its own right. And another last line that leaves us thoughtful and unable to get on with the mundane... winning last card, well played! ;-D |
Puggle chapter 1 . 7/28/2013 Tears, tears and more tears Heatbreakingly beautiful Thank you for sharing |
patemalah21 chapter 1 . 7/27/2013 I loved the idea that Sherlock was watching John and John befriended him without knowing. Lovely story. |
Book girl fan chapter 1 . 7/21/2013 John keeps persevering. |
mugglemom08 chapter 1 . 7/20/2013 Right in the feels. |
EJBRUSH1952 chapter 1 . 7/20/2013 You made me smile. I think people should notice the people around them a heck of a lot more than they do. Just smiling, saying hi, a wave can brighten a persons day/life that may not be going to well at that moment. Amazing things happen. |
BenAddiction chapter 1 . 7/20/2013 Beautiful. Very moving, brought a tear to the eye. :'( |
Cremains chapter 1 . 7/20/2013 oh my feels. That was truly beautiful and I wouldn't want have it any other way but gosh it hurts. |
librarianmum chapter 1 . 7/20/2013 That's ok. I wanted to weep copiously on a Saturday morning. "My John". Beautiful. |
MrsNoggin chapter 1 . 7/20/2013 The first section is stunning. Simple sentences that are so telling. 'When he was sure the doctor wouldn't turn and look back, the homeless man stood' - OMG, JAL, it's just perfect. A heartfelt beautiful piece, has totally made my birthday. Thank you! |
SailOnSilvergirl chapter 1 . 7/19/2013 I really like the parallel structure at the beginning. It draws you in. I like that John is taking the tube now, not taxis. Small point, but telling. "...without a friend it's the loneliest place in the world. Even without a name, you don't have to be a stranger." Perfect! Wonderful character piece. Sad, insightful, real. |
