Is review comes many years after the original posting, but that was one hell of a chapter and I loved the dialogue and interactions. I’m sure everyone who read it enjoyed it and just neglected to review. I often did when I was new to the fandom. I took writers for granted and mostly forgot to tell them how much I appreciated their gifts. Sorry.

I didn't really like Rex during MD. And in this story I absolutely hate him, how dare he talk to Ianto like that. I'm pissed with Jack too, but I guess in a way can understand why he is mad at Ianto. But Rex has hated Ianto since he came back, & from what Gwen said even before then. Rex needs to get his head out of his arse.

Oh no, after all the waiting & Ianto only trying to help him. This can't be happening, they need to sit down & talk this through.

Beautiful chapter, so happy that Ianto is back with his Jack. Cried a lot reading this chapter, hated Jack being killed so many times. But also happy tears for our boys.

Love that you bought Ianto to our 'verse & he met John & Gareth. Wonder which 'verse he will get to next. Still wondering what is happening in his real 'verse, is time the same there, how is His Jack doing. Guess you will reveal it all soon. Well still 21 chapters for me to read so bye for now.

I'm curious what's happening in Ianto's universe. Do they know he is in a parallel universe?

Oh God what a journey for both Jack/Ianto and the reader. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love the whole story. Every single chapter of it (my favorite being Ianto's letters and Jack's first visit to Rhi and of course the last two sentences).

And I can see what you mean by saying how Ianto has a reason to be in each alternative universe and I really like how the experience taught both J&I so much.

This story, from beginning to end, gripped me in a way that few stories have on this site. The journey Ianto went through and all the shit he had to go back to get back to his world and his Jack was just so gripping for me. It brought tears to my eyes (both happy and sad) and that for me is always the mark of a good story. You had me so emotionally invested in your characters and I couldn't help become attached to your Ianto.

As soon as I started reading I knew I was hooked and didn't have any hope of stopping until I had completely finished it (at some crazy time in the night/morning). So so glad it was already finished when I stumbled across it because I think it would have killed for me to wait for an update.

The beginning with Ianto buck naked in the torch wood cell was just brilliant and his dialogue with Jack (any and all Jack's) was so perfectly Ianto - he is just great. His seduction of the New Jack was so fun to read and the slight Gwen bashing was enjoyable. And omg the second universe he landed in with John Barrowman and Gareth David-Lloyd had me laughing like a loon. His whole interaction with them and fooling the direction was a nice light part before the main angst started haha.

You story was a nice way to explore the different characterisations and story lines that could have happened but didn't. What actually wrenched my heart a little what that Ianto didn't make it back before the Owen and Tosh he originally knew died. Also the huge fact he was so frickin late! 8 bloody years! (shakes fist at Doctor) And his homecoming was certainly not what I was expecting but I was crying happy tears by the end of it (after I got over what a complete dick Rex is). Jack and Ianto fighting before the end made my heart hurt, but I'm glad you showed that even though they love each other they are still flawed and will fight while they are together. Nice twist though making Ianto absorb some of Jack's life energy and having him live longer.
