| rational chapter 1 . 2/22/2016 I loved how, even though this was mainly smut, there was such a strong undercurrent of affection from both sides. No matter how much Emma tries to tell herself there's no deeper meaning, he cares for her and she cares for him. Him covering for her at the end was particularly adorable, as was the fact that he didn't wake her because he knew she hadn't been sleeping. |

I've been lurking in the Captain Swan tag on Tumblr for a few days now. This has been one of my almost-ships. OuaT tends to ruin every ship I want with Emma, and when there was chemistry between Killian and Emma, I absolutely refused to ship it. So when someone was looking for this fic specifically (but couldn't recall the name), and I learned it was a oneshot, I thought, "Yeah, let's see the thing." OMG. What a thing. Excellent writing. Believable scenario. Just fantastic. Thank you. |
